Lately, I’ve spent time thinking deeply about what I’ve learned from my and my clients’ grief journeys. And I believe there are three significant challenges we must all face in grief:

  1. Realizing that your loss is real – life will never be the same.
  2. Learning how to navigate the Body-Mind-Emotional Trauma
  3. Answering the question: Who Am I Now?

Each of these is inextricably intertwined.

First, we must realize the reality of loss. And it may take months. Or, it might not.

The first challenge

Kubler-Ross in her Five Stages of Grief called this realization “acceptance.” I used to loathe that word because my experience was different.

I immediately accepted/realized that my teenaged son, Reed, had left his physical body. I would not see him grow into a man. There wasn’t a state of numbness, disbelief, or denial.

Each one of us comes to accept the reality of our loss in our own time and in our own way. Some people do experience a state of numbness, disbelief, and denial. It may take 12-18 months before coming out of this state. Or more.

And some people can feel stuck. Unable to escape the crushing grief.

That’s why I’ve created a new 4-week online class, A Brand-New Day: Navigating the Ocean of Emotion.

When you’re ready to face grief’s challenges…

If you’re ready, it’s an opportunity to dive deep into healing your trauma and discovering answers to the question, “Who am I now?”.

In this weekly course, I guide participants through a series of steps designed to shorten the grief journey and make it less intense. I use scientific information about grief trauma, stories, and body-mind exercises.

I share how we can access the traumatic emotions living in the body and work with the mind-body connection. Grief becomes a Spiritual Practice. Tortured thoughts and feelings release and our hearts transform.

The introduction to the 4-week course is FREE. Join me by clicking the link below. See if the course is right for you.
