Some of you will stop right here and ask, “What are you talking about?”
The Divine Power within
Maria Shriver writes in her Sunday post:”
Each and every one of us has so much power within us and yet, fear plays such a big part in our lives. From our earliest age, we are told, “Don’t do this. Don’t touch that. Don’t speak like that. Don’t dress like that.” We are told, “If you do that, you will make people mad. You will rock the boat.” Then, before we know it, we are scared and fearful people who are living anything but brave, authentic lives.
The truth is you must be brave to live your own authentic life. You have to be brave to chart your own course. You have to be brave to stand up for yourself and against what you believe is wrong.
Ignore the inner voice at your own peril
Just this week a client said, “Every time I ignore my gut, I make a mistake.” Simple, clear guidance. What this person realized is, “Aha, listening requires time. Time by a still lake.” Guess where they’ll be today?
The inner Divine is a gift and shows up as a friend
This inner Divine electricity is a gift we each have. It is within us and shows up as a friend.
Mark Nepo writes:
Honest friends are doorways to our souls, and loving friends are the grasses that soften the world. It is no mistake that the German root of the word friendship means “place of high safety.” This safety opens us to God. As Cicero said, “A friend is a second self.” And as Sant Martin said, “My friends are the beings through who God loves me.”
Once again, our grief experience surprises us. Surprised by those who we thought would be there for us and they are not.
Surprised by those who are. Who regularly hold us with a simple text “Thinking of you. Enfolding you in love.”
Go within and find the Divine Power
So in this moment, I invite you to go within. Find the Divine Power. That high place of safety.
Simply breathe in through you nose and out through your nose. Notice the temperature of the air. Tap into the power of connection.
Notice. Who is there?
Just say, “Thanks be for you.”
Love all around, above, below, to the left and to the right, before you and behind you,
Georgena
