Significant Loss is a natural part of life. Grief is a universal consequence of loss.
The problem: People approach the
EMOTIONAL pain of loss intellectually.
We are an Emotionally Illiterate Culture. People don’t know how to be with you in your despair, sorrow, and helplessness. They are uneasy with their own dark emotions. They want to ‘fix’ you so you’ll feel better because they are uncomfortable with your pain, anger, confusion, and sadness, so you feel alone in your grief.
At the Integrated Wellbeing Institute, we recognize that Grief is not a single emotion. It is the ‘umbrella’ for many, many emotions: despair, anguish, loneliness, sorrow, deep sadness, rage, abandonment, anxiety, depression, guilt, shame, and fear to name only a few.
Grief is not a disease to cure.
It is not a problem to fix.
It is emotion living in your body. Grief is prolonged by looping, torturing thoughts ‘If only, I should have, Maybe if I, What if?’
You do not have to feel awful for years. Although grief never goes away, it becomes different. We are here to companion you as you move through the stages of Raw, Fragile and Gentle Grief to live in Integrated Wellbeing.

Take a Peek at What Our Clients Say
“Georgena supported our employees with grief therapy after a sudden death to one of our own. Following this event, we heard and saw the value of offering regular general employee assistance/therapy on-site. She now visits our facility once per month with open office hours.
Employee mental health is critical to their happiness at work and at home. We greatly appreciate the time and energy Georgena invests with our staff. Thank you, Georgena..”
RYAN ESCHER, HR ACUMED
“You have helped me get my fears and feelings out. I know that I am normal because grief is a slow process that may take a while.”
