Gazing out the dew-kissed window watching the golden hues spread across the sky — morning has broken.

When was the last time you watched a sunrise break the darkness?

What were you feeling as you witnessed the colorful light dissipate the darkness?

Did you dread or embrace another day?

I will never forget being mysteriously drawn to stand at the patio door of my home on January 24, 1998, as dawn’s fingers were peeling back the darkness of the worst night of my life. My teen-age-son Reed died as I held his hand and kissed him goodbye.

Now as a sliver of crimson emerged, morning was breaking.

I turned to Tom, our minister that had brought me home from the hospital. “Just as the sun comes up every morning, surely I will move through this grief and beyond.” I did not know how it would happen. I only knew that trusting and surrendering to a power far greater than myself and allowing IT to support me could be a way through.

So how is nature supporting you?
When was the last time you were out in nature?

I always ask my Synergy clients to imagine their favorite place in nature?

What is yours?
When was the last time you were there?
Consider a trip this week.

Please also invite your therapists or a therapist you know to join me for the Awakening Awareness training on April 27th. They will learn how to help their clients navigate the heavy, tender emotions that come up as a result of having lost a loved one to illness, accident, or suicide. This training is specifically for them, and I’d love for you to share it so they can attend: https://integratedwellbeinginstitute.com/awakening-awareness/

Love all around, above, below, to the left and to the right, before you and behind you,
Georgena
